SaskScapes – “The 60’s Scoop” – with guest Lauren Reid

Kevin Power brings voice to the “60’s Scoop” as a feature story in the SaskScapes season. The “60’s Scoop” is a dark chapter in our Canadian and First Nations history and culture. There are four episodes in total which were recorded over the past few months. These are the stories of a few…there are thousands more. Thank you sincerely, to these four guests, for being generous enough to share this part of your story. We all have much to learn from you.

In this episode Kevin is joined by Lauren Reid.

Helping me to understand some of the lives in my neighbourhood and even from childhood friends. Not all experiences were the same but the fear and confusion at being ripped from family is a hell of a way to begin a life. I will listen to more of the scoop stories and add to the ones I’ve heard from my present-day friends. Also nice to see how art provides focus and healing. Thank you Kevin.
